The Good Life, the coffee shop and wine bar down on the quay in Wicklow Town, has been named one of the 15 best coffee shops in Ireland in an RTÉ Lifestyle round-up published on 10 July 2026. It's a nice bit of recognition for a place plenty of us already stroll to for a flat white.
What the list said
RTÉ's guide highlights spots around the country where, as they put it, "coffee sits at the heart of the experience, with a focus on quality ingredients, skilled preparation and consistency in every cup." The Good Life gets a mention not just for its coffee by day but for its second life in the evenings as a wine bar, with charcuterie and small plates.
Wicklow did well overall — The Fat Fox up in Delgany and Greystones also made the fifteen, so there are two county names on the national list this year.
Worth a visit
If you haven't been, The Good Life is an easy walk or short spin into town — coffee and pastries during the day, and wine by the glass on weekend evenings (booking ahead is a good idea for the wine bar). A grand excuse to support a local business that's just been put on the map nationally.
