Who runs the site
Hawk's Bay is run by neighbours on a voluntary basis. It is independent of the developer and the estate agent and of the hawksbay.ie website. There's no company behind it and no charge to use it. Contact us any time at hello@hawksbaywicklow.com.
Your account
- Accounts are for residents of the Hawk's Bay estate, created by signing in with Google.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account — please keep your sign-in secure.
- Don't impersonate someone else or pretend to be a resident if you're not.
- We may suspend or remove an account that misuses the site.
Posting content
When you post a review, notice or event, you confirm that:
- it's your own words or something you're allowed to share,
- it's honest and based on your genuine experience, and
- it follows our Community Guidelines.
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to display it on the site so other residents can see it. You can ask us to remove your content at any time.
We may edit or remove content that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines.
Directory reviews & recommendations
The directory lists local services with reviews from neighbours. These are personal opinions of individual residents, not endorsements or professional advice from Hawk's Bay. Always use your own judgement when choosing a tradesperson or service, and agree your own terms and prices directly with them. We're not party to any arrangement you make.
Accuracy — no guarantees
We do our best to keep information useful and up to date, but this is a volunteer project. Bin schedules, contacts, opening times and documents can change or contain mistakes. The site is provided "as is", without warranties. For anything important — safety, legal or financial — check with the official source (for example Wicklow County Council or your service provider).

Where we link to other websites, we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Limiting our liability
Because Hawk's Bay is run for free by volunteers, we can't accept liability for any loss arising from using the site or acting on something you read here, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
